Ryedale Counselling Service (RCS) provides is a free and confidential counselling service to children and young people, aged 13 -18, who live in Ryedale or in Scarborough, North Yorkshire.

If you live in Ryedale:

- Children and young people can refer themselves to rite2talk.

- They can also be referred by a parent or carer, doctor, teacher, school nurse, or any other professional working with children and young people.

If you live in Scarborough:

- if you are a patient of Norwood House Surgery, you can access the service in the same way as people living in Ryedale - see above.

- if you have a doctor at a different surgery, your doctor - or any other NHS professional e.g. CAMHS worker - can still refer you to our counselling service at the Castle Health Centre, York Place by sending a referral to the centre.

Unfortunately, we are no longer funded to provide a counselling service directly in local schools.  However, we hope to get new funding to allow us to launch a more accessible counselling service for children and young people from early 2012.
